over the last few years. During a Time when the culture was vulnerable, a colorful
haired loud rapper by the name of Tekashi 6ix 9ine came up and brought a lot of energy
back to the city. After about a year or so of yelling over beats, and antagonizing
other artist all over the country screaming “Suck my d*%k”, he ended up falling just
as quick as he came up. What made matter worst is he came the biggest labeled
rat in the history of Hip-Hop. While that heat was simmering down another star out
of Brooklyn New York was brewing. Meet the Woo!
Rising star Pop Smoke born Bashar Barakah Jackson in Brooklyn
New York to a Jamaican mother and a Panamanian father began to make a name for
his self on the music scene. The young rapper and songwriter got his start in
April of 2019 when he released the song "Welcome to the Party", the
lead single of his debut mixtape Meet the Woo, which was released in July 2019 that
went viral with 28 million views to date. He was signed to Victor Victor
Worldwide and Republic Records. The song was later remixed by Nicki Minaj
and Skepta in August 2019 making his name even bigger on the music scene. Soon after he followed up with “DIOR”.
The Woo seems to be just getting started, and by they wave of the Woo, it looks like Pop Smoke will be bringing the hop-hop scene back to the essence of New York. The voice, the style, and the energy has allowed him to carry the city on his back with the support of New York top artist like 50 Cent, Nicki Minaj, Fabolous, Casanova and more. The 20 years old self acclaimed King of New York may have spoke his title into existence..

Leroy Attended the premier of the CW hit TV series “All American” in ATL with his god father James and friend/Business partner Daze
On June 24th 2019, Leroy Phinazee was shot and killed in cold blood around 7pm in Harlem on 137th street on Lenox avenue. At the time of his death Leroy was only 29 yrs young. He was a father, a brother, a son, a friend and a king in the making. Unfortunately his life was cut short of his comings. The crazy part is he was killed only 2 blocks from where his father Big Lee was killed as well his uncle Big L was killed.
As most have heard about his recent demise from local news articles and social media farewell post, most wasn’t informed of his plans and what he had in the works. Leroy was a dedicated father and made it his business to take care of son who is an aspiring basketball player. Leroy did his best to attend every basketball game and take side line pix in support of his son. His son’s future was his main focus. I can recall us having numerous conversations on what we have to do for our kids so they have a better life than had. He wanted the best for his son by any means necessary. We would have debates on how expensive the basketball programs is in Atlanta vs. in New York. this was a topic we talked about on several occasions. .
Aside from the discussions about our kids we also was working on a project titled “Put It On” which is a film based on the life and death of his uncle Lamont Coleman Phinazee better known as the Harlem rap legend Big L. We’ve been working endless nights on the project for about 2 years and just finished the script up a few days before his passing. He was listed as the ex-producer and scheduled to portray his father also named Leroy Phinazee (Big Lee) in the film. This would have been his debut as an actor and as a film producer. During the course of us building the film we went to Los Angeles to rub elbows with the big names in the film industry and we built some great relationships with some great people. He enjoyed the grind. Things was just getting where we wanted them.
Leroy and Daze in Los Angles at The Staples Center
During the time we hit Los Angles we attend the Oscars, then a adult convention event at the Staples Center and a really dope party after the Oscars. We had a ball. I remember having a few drinks and Leroy was like, “Yo bro you good? You know you gotta get it us back to our room right, I ain’t driving out here in LA, my license suspended ”. LOL. I remember driving up the Hollywood hills one early morning and Leroy sat in the back on the passenger side with the window crack half way. He was like “ Yo bro be careful driving on this shit, feels like we about to drive right off. Keep your eyes on the road”. Lol. We laughed at how serious he got the closer we got to the edge. I’m not going to lie, it was scary but it was a beautiful site to see once we got to the top. We all enjoyed the priceless view at the top of Hollywood.
Leroy at the top of the Hollywood Hills in Los Angeles 2019
Every body that knew Leroy would tell you, Leroy wasn’t into the night life at all. No drinking no smoking none of it. He always move with direct purpose. When he came to ATL to visit me with his god father James we hit up a few spots. I would take them on set of a Love and Hip-Hop taping where he met a few of the cast members and we would go to my magazine headquarters downtown Atlanta to go over the movie details. This Big L movie was coming along great. A lot of people from the inner circle wasn’t so supportive of the film but Leroy always said “if they ain’t contributing to what we doing then fuck them, make that shit work best way you can. Stop waiting on these niggaz to get involved”. And that’s how we moved on making this project, and that’s how we going to continue to move until it hits theaters.
From right: Daze, Shan, Leroy, James and Rock at the Scrilla Guerillaz Magazine headquarters in Atlanta
Leroy is definitely going to be missed. This is a major lost to the family and friends that loved him however no one compares to the lost and pain his son must be feeling. As far as the film, we going to continue with the project as best as we can. We were making a few adjustments to the completed script the day Leroy was killed. He will definitely be honored in the film. His main thing with this film was to get it done by any and all means necessary and get to the next project. I won’t speak on what vision he had for the next project publicly but he had a lot in the works and with the blessings of the Phinazee family we will be able to bring his vision to life on the big screen. You will forever be in our hearts and we will honor your legacy Lil Lee. Rest In Heaven my friend. - Jesse (Daze) Swindell
May 11th, 2019 we kicked off the 1st annual Bike Show at the Venue. According to the Weather Channel the day prior, it was said to be 100% chance of rain. Los, who was the head promoter of the event and spoke person for Blood Line Riders assured the team the weather will clear up in time for the bike show. It was shaky, but we followed Los’ lead and just as he stated the weather cleared up right on time for the Bike Show to start.
In attendance was our inhouse radio D.J. King D, Daze, Rock, a few models, our in-house photographer Phew, and even Daze’s pops Shannon came down from New York to enjoy the festivities. The event was hosted by Yung Joc, Lil scrappy from Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta plus Greg Street and Bubby Love of V-103. The event featured 100’s of customized bikes and lots of women. The event started off a little slow due to the weather scare but gradually picked up once the sun showed who was superior. Fun in the sun in the presence some of the most exotic bikes Atlanta’s ever seen. Vendors showcased their products while some provided food and other entertainment to keep viewers and bystanders’ eyes balls occupied. Venue is known for its beautiful woman on staff, and some of the woman took the time to step outside to serve the guest Hookah. The event got better and better as the day went on. Keep on reading and I’ll show you what I mean.
As I said, the night got better and better the later it got. The alcohol started to kick in and more bikes began to pull up. Even though it was a bike show you would think it was a concert from all the celebrities that pulled up along with the latest music being played by the DJ duo. It was a great night over all. Just to think if we had listened to the weather channel none of this would have taken place. At the end of the event Yung Joc presented awards with some cash the best bikes based on categories while telling a few jokes here and there giving the crowd a reason to wait on his every word till the next bike is presented. I’ll let the rest of the photos tell you the rest of the story. One thing I’ll say is damn, Los put on one hell of a show. Can’t wait to the next one. Peace.

The Super Bowl is unequivocally the biggest sporting event of the year. I’m not a die hard sports fan, but I enjoy all the festivities that come with the excitement. While the big game is obviously the most hyped-up and important part of the festivities and excitement that surround it, this contest is a spectacle much larger than football itself and the parties that are thrown for it are much more affordable than the finite amount of game tickets floating out there that are very difficult to come by.
For starters, Feb.2nd Saturday evening Scrilla Guerillaz Magazine made way down to Oak, a hot lounge located in the heart of Atlanta to check out hip-hop icon 50 Cent and the King of comedy himself Kevin Hart. First off let me tell you guys a little about Oak. Oak is Atlanta’s newest, upscale, 4-level entertainment complex in Downtown Atlanta. The venue boasts the most envied views of the city, mesmerizing interior aesthetics, incomparable attention to detail and a customer experience like no other. Great place to turn up amongst the elite.
Upon entering the venue, the crowd was real smooth and relaxed. The drinks wasn’t so good, but after a few of them, it did the trick. We wouldn’t recommend the Long Island’s lol. Anyway, after the headliners showed up the place went in an uproar. 50 Cent, accompanied by his boy Monster and his entourage. Also in his section was DJ Envy. As always 50 was a man of the people. Taking picture with fans, embracing fellow entertainers and over all just showing love to the city of Atlanta while promoting his new BMF series and the launching of his new cognac Branson. Just across the room, sitting on the edge of his section’s balcony was Kevin Hart. Kevin is truly a dope individual, and definitely humbled and down to earth. Not sure if it was the countless bottles popping or the flavored hookah but he was cool as a fan. Surrounded by beautiful woman and his entourage, he wasn’t segregated from the environment like how most A list celebrities are in public. Fans gathered around to take photos and share a few laughs with the icon which he was more than willing to do. He even shared a few laughs with us while we sat just a section over next to him. Also in attendance was Hip-Hop legend Too Short, fellow comedian Michael Blackson, Renee Graziano from Mob wives, HitMan holla from Wild N’ Out, and a list of others. Check out some of the photos and do check out Oak if your visiting the Atlanta area. Tell them SG Magazine sent you!
One of the hottest topics worldwide is Tekashi 6ix 9ine, with the latest being the crown of New York Hip Hop he declares to own. Let me begin by sending a born day salute to the father of Hip Hop, DJ Kool Herc. If we are discussing crowns and titles of New York it is only fair to mention the creator of Hip Hop. I won't drill the younger generation with a history lesson, although they can highly benefit from one.
We associate the word King with ruler, leader, a man who can unite people for a greater cause based on his own accolades. Does 6ix 9ine fit this role as King? What has he contributed to Hip Hop? How has the big apple shone since his stance? Some claim the older generation are stuck in the 90's era of Hip Hop. I beg to differ. We are true to the culture of Hip Hop and its subculture of Boom Bap, storytelling, and conscious rap. Hip Hop is not music, that is only one element. Can the younger generation name the five elements of Hip Hop? Can 6ix 9ine? Music, dance, graffiti, deejaying, and knowledge fuse together for Hip Hop. Can fans honestly say he is an authentic representation?
I'm not here to take anything or any success away from 6ix 9ine. His image is targeted to a certain age group. An age group that is vulnerable and seeking an out from school, parents, teenage struggles, and finding themselves. In that sense, yes 6ix 9ine might fit the bill as King. He offers that carefree, eccentric, and flashy lifestyle that most teens are drawn to. Unfortunately, that's all they choose to see. Do they acknowledge the gang references? Do they acknowledge the degrading of young adolescent females? Do they acknowledge the disrespect to our forefathers who created the foundation of Hip Hop? Does his music offer motivation, or even talk about real life issues that the younger generation can relate to?

Q)For those that don't know where are you from and what do you do?
A)I'm originally from New Orleans but currently between Atl and the DMV. As an artist/entertainer i have the ability to rap, sing, dance, and write songs. I make music thats true to who i am and for the turn up since im all about energy like most great entertainers like MJ and Prince.
Q)What does music do for you spiritually and what type of impact do you plan to make with it?
A)Music gives me life and helps me to cope with my PTSD from 2 tours in Iraq while serving in the U.S. Army. As far as spirtually i believe my gifts come directly from above and truly believe i cant do it without God!
Q) Where did you get the name K-Shire and what role did Scrilla Guerillaz Magazine play in getting you this far?
A) I used to live in Hollywood Cali and went by K-Wurk when I was moving thru the industry then. Long story short I lost myself and had to step away to ground my faith in God and figure out my purpose. The K is for Kevin the Shi for Shilo and the Re for reborn. Kevin Shilo is my government name lol and K-ShiRe represents my growth and rebirth as a person and artist. Daze one the CEOs of Scrilla Guerillaz along with Stevie J honestly put me in the position I'm in right now and the situation with Empire which is huge for me aswell as being one of the lead consultants in my career and this campaign for my debut single "Pinocchio"
Available Now in all digital stores
Q) Talk about your main inspiration and what motivates you to make moves in the game.
A) I've been inspired by so many things and people but if i had to pick i would say God number one and the fact that i see a need for my music in this world. I know its so much bigger than me and in general i cant help but create its such a vital part of my existence if that makes any sense lol.
Q) How much does the politics and the social climate effect your music? Would you write a song about mass shooting why or why not?
A) It definitely weighs heavy on me bc alot of todays issues being an African American male im affected by but more than pointing a finger i would expose the underlying issues in music. My goal is not to segregate or alienate but encourage and inspire people.
Q) Top 5 greatest rapper dead or alive.
A) Tupac, Kendrick, Bg, Drake, Lecrae in my opinion lol
Q) Talk about three ultimate goals you have and how you plan to achieve them.
A) One to put out atleast one full studio album. Two impact people all over the world and make a real difference. Three live a life that God willing gets me into heaven.
Q) Give us some facts on "Pinocchio" how long did it take to create the Music Video and was the track aimed at anyone in particular?
A) The song concept is just a creative way of addressing the many puppets in todays industry/social media and i call them Pinocchios bc i can see them clear as if they nose grow round me. The video took a few hours it was a quick viral performance video to get people familar with me and the record. Lol no the track wasnt singling anyone out just addressing it as a whole but ofcourse coming from my personal experience in this industry.
Q) You're a feature away from being a household name. What feature would take you to that level and do you have any future plans to feature some big names?
A) Im not really sure as it would be upto the people how far the record goes but a few artist i would love to collab with are August Alsina, Lecrae, and Kendrick. Currently no big features in discussion as of today lol. Tomorrow might be a different story.
Q) What more can fans expect from you before the year is up?
A) The next 3 months will be focused on pushing my single and the campaign so ill be doing alot of shows and press in various cities. I have another record I want to drop just for the fans but not sure if it will be ready before the year up.
Q) One piece of advice for the upcoming artist hoping to get into the industry.
A) Do your research. There is a multitude of sources these days with the internet and also be humble. Humility goes a long way. I would also say know what you are in it for, if u stand for nothing you will fall for anything.
Q) Where can the people find out more about you?
A) If you google my stage name you can see other interviews and such things I've done and also on my social media Mostly ig @WatchMeWurk_ and my soundcloud where all my music that might not be on other major platforms.
To all my fellow independent songwriters/producers I urge you to never allow sites like Tunecore.com, CDbaby.com, revernation.com, etc. to administer your publishing. They are all thieves. All of them. They will stealyour money and it's nothing you can do about it. They are only good for getting you on itunes, Spodify, Padora, etc..and for monetizing your youtube videos on your youtube account so that you can get paid off your views. If you are releasing your music independent set up your own website and sell it through there. Have your fans buy directly from you. And prior to your music being released/published you should set up a BMI, ASCAP or SESAC account to keep track of your spins/plays. That's it. Don't ever....I repeat ever allow anyone to administer your publishing (especially if they're not paying you) or you will be ripped off without a shadow of doubt. Publishing and owning your Masters are King in the music business. Never forget that. Once you sign a contract that allows someone to administer your publishing you will get screwed.
Hip-Hop Artist Zues better known as Lordikim
Let me give you an example. Say you have a really good record and a company wants to use your song in a movie/video game/TV show, etc. You'll get paid a Masters fee, a publishers fee and a songwriting/producers fee. If you sign over your administrative rights then the person you signed it over to is not obligated to show you the deal and can hide income from you because he no longer needs your signature to close the deal since you already gave him the rights to administer your publishing rights for you. If you don't sign over those rights then your signature is needed which means you get to see the contracts. Most companies won't do business with you unless you allow them to administer your publishing and in that case you should have it put in writing that you "must see every deal/contract or it's a breach of contract. Only a person that's trying to get over on you will not want you to see the contract. Peace!!!
“ALL EYEZ ON ME” is the fourth studio album by Original rapper 2Pac Tupac Shakur, released on February 13, 1996 under Death Row Records and distributed by Interscope Records.
The album is frequently recognized as one of the crowning achievements of the 1990s rap era. The album featured the number one singles "How Do U Want It" and "California Love". It featured five singles in all the most of any of Tupac albums. “ALL EYE’Z ON ME” (which was the only Death Row release to be distributed through PolyGram by way of Island Records) made history as the first full length hip-hop solo double album released for mass consumption. It was issued on two compact discs and four LPs. This was also the last album under Death Row to be labeled G-Funk record, as G Funk wouldn't exist after Daz Dillinger's album in 1998.
“ALL EYE’Z ON ME” was the second hit album from 2Pac to reach number one on both the Billboard and the R&B/Hip-Hop charts. The album won the 1997 Soul Train Album of the Year. Tupac also won the Award for Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Artist at the 24th Annual AMA’s and is also commonly referred to as one of the greatest hip hop/rap albums of all time. The album was certified Diamond by the RIAA on July 23, 2014.
Actual photo : Tupac Shakur's New York State Department Of Corrections ID
As you know one year before in October of 1995, Marion Suge Knight and Jimmy Iovine paid the $1.4 million bail dollars necessary to get Tupac released from Clinton Correctional facilities on appeal which Madonna was going to put up, because at the time Pac was destitute and unable to make bail. “All EYE’Z ON ME” was released following an agreement between Knight and Tupac Shakur which stated Pac would make three albums under Death Row Records in return for them paying his bail. Fulfilling part of Tupac's brand new contract, that was as thin as the loose leaf paper it was written on… This double album served as the first two albums of his ludicrous three album deal.
Demetrius Shipp Jr. as Tupac Shakur
YES The Movie is finally being filmed I had a brief encounter with the lead actor Demetrius Shipp in LA at a Leila Steinberg event in 2012. Even then I thought it was uncanny the resemblance of Pac as if he had surgery or something, but reconsidered naaaaaah he was too young that was 5 years ago… Anyway “All EYEZ ON ME” is the bio-pic and Demetrius Shipp Jr is the actor that has been chosen to play Tupac Shakur in the upcoming movie. James G and David Robinson producers/Morgan Creek is the film company, "Director Benny Boom and L.T. Hutton is another executive producer who is also key in piecing together this edgy silver screen adventure,” but I do know Shipp has been given the lead role as Tupac. Production of which was filmed in Atlanta, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles of course.
Shipp's father worked in the music industry and is rumored to have produced a 2pac song “Toss It Up” which is how Demetrius met Pac as a child and "he's been a huge fan ever since. Demetrius was new to acting when I met him 5yrs. ago before landing the lead role, but his family already knew he was going to play Pac and told me they were going to put him in acting classes. Then the project was scratched. Again the talks surfaced again and him in the role based on his striking resemblance to the late Tupac Shakur. It’s also rumored he's been taking crash courses in acting four days a week to get ready for the part and that’s why the movie took so long to get started on production.
Scrilla Guerillaz Magazine Issue 15 Available now
This movie is supposed to follow Pac’s story through the entire life of Pac from the Black Panther days all the way through the shooting of Tupac on Koval & Flamingo which led to his untimely demise in 96…
Because they’re keeping everything under wraps it was hard getting the skinny on the key players however I’ve found out a little like ‘Kat Graham’ of the “Vampire Diaries” is rumored to have been cast to play Jada Pinkett she has filled that slot *BAM* ‘Jamal Woolard’ will play Biggie Smalls which is no surprise to me, because he played Biggie in the film “Notorious” about ‘Christopher Wallace’, and did a bomb ass job. ‘Stefon Washington is rumored to appear in the movie as Diddy. Danai Guira( The Walking Dead) will appear as a Young Afeni Shakur congratulations on your BLACK GIRLS ROCK award. ‘Dominick Satana’ is striking in his appearance as Marion Suge Knight. The man known as Haitian Jack will be played by Cory Hardict. Lauren Cohen as Leila Steinberg, Jaime Hector as Mutulu Shakur, Clifton Powell, as an Inmate in Clinton Correctional Facility,
Scrilla Guerillaz Magazine issue 15 available now WWW.SGZMAG.COM
“Side note” y’all know who Haitian Jack is right? He is most notably recognized as the guy who allegedly set Pac up with the hooker that cried rape and sent a brother to prison for sodomy. What you don’t know is back Before Pac was signed to Death Row (Interscope Geffen A&M) signed Tupac after his smashing performance in the film “Juice” he put out 2pacalyse but Interscope didn’t kick in the funds like they should have, like they knew what he was worth, so it’s rumored that his fans approached him one day and blessed with all this gold jewelry. Allegedly ‘Haitian Jack’ was one of the fans, and said you don’t look like a superstar, you should be dipped in ice and gifted him with a mass amount of 14k gold chains, rings, watches, and medallions.
Tupac (Center) Haitian Jack (Right)
Allegedly sometime after 2Pac started getting some recognition from the film he did with ‘Janet Jackson’ “Poetic Justice” Haitian Jack figured it was time to withdraw from Pac like an ATM. However Shakur was like yo “you been hanging out with me blowing spices every night, and I’ve been treating y’all to a Rap superstar lifestyle, nobody has done that for you. V.I.P. Everywhere all the babes you could fuck we should be even. Haitian Jack was reluctant and declined the proposition that’s when they fell on bad terms.
Y’all don’t know this but Haitian Jack is known as a big Shot caller in the streets of Brooklyn over all the West Indians, Jamaicans, Trinidadians, and Haitians. Allegedly the position was given to him by the Italian Mafia in Brooklyn. This means he owns the streets in certain parts of Bk, and if you’re a player on the streets and you’re West Indian you have to answer to him. That also meant Biggie Smalls as well. If you remember in “Notorious” biggie tried to warn Tupac. When Christopher Wallace seen him with those dudes at a club in New York City, he was like “Yo Pac you know who that is, you need to be careful the people you hang around with them some serious dudes”.
Now if you look up (“Jimmy Rosemond” his government name) aka (Jimmy Henchmen his hood name) you’ll find out this guy allegedly helped (Haitian Jack) carve out a spot in the streets of a Brooklyn neighborhood with a lot of ruthless gunplay. These guys were street legends and known criminals on the streets.
One thing led to another with Jack and Shakur they engaged few yelling matches, so forth and so on, so Jimmy Rosemond and his goons ambushed the legendary rapper in quad studios, they got to jerking on them hammers and shot the brother for the jewels in question.
Okay back to the film… ‘Grace Gibson’ is rumored to be casted as Faith Evans… I love me some Faith don’t nobody better not say nuthin bad about Faith Evans… lmao…
I personally had to sit down with some of the known Outlawz Young Noble & E.D. I mean, who are playing themselves in the bio-pic, or I refused to write the story, and this is what they had to say about the bio-pic.
OutLawz : Hussein Fatal (Left) Young Noble (center) E.D.I. Mean (right)
To start the conversation I had to pay homage to Hussein Fatal & of course Tupac Shakur who passed on into the essence July of 2015, (Rest In Peace Hussein Fatal) Then what I asked Young Noble first was how far are they going back in this film? and he confirmed they’re going back all the way back to the Panther-21 and the lessons he learned from his mother Afeni and Mutulu Shakur, Geronimo Pratt, so as a treat you guys will finally get to sit at the kitchen table with Tupac as a kid while he learns his lessons, and see why he was such a prolific an emcee.
Demetrius on set as young Tupac along side Director Benny Boom
While we were conversing Noble made it very clear he approves very much of the actor (Demetrius Shipp) in the role of Tupac. Young Noble says of young Demetrius has captured the different personalities that Shakur would exhibit and you know Pac was a Gemini so he had multiple personalities, and on top of that he was groomed in a day & time when you could count on black soldiers to be soldiers. There are so many different levels to Pac, he’s like a diamond so many different faucets you land on one level and you think that’s it with him, and surprise there’s another level. He continues with it’s obvious you can’t put 25 years into 2+1/2 hours, but they’re doing a hellava good job.

The Outlawz as a crew is significant in the life of Shakur from 1995 through Kadafi who is Pac’s half-brother, which they (The Outlawz) all grew up together in New Jersey. Now as far as the other Outlawz“Castro” didn’t want anybody playing him, and “Napoleon” lives in Saudi Arabia and is a devout Muslim, and you don’t use their likeness without their consent. He went on to say that Morgan Creek did hire Courtney James as Yaki Kadafi, and to play Hussein Fatal is a young man by the name of Jermaine Carter, and Rayan Lawrence as Treach of Naughty by Nature…
When asked about Leila Steinberg he says she approves of the making of the movie as they were shooting for 6 days a week for 4-5 months, and that’s how they’re getting it done. They shot the movie in three different stages of Pac’s life in one day, so he can go from a Gumby to a bald head in a matter of hours.

As I sit in Charlotte for a layover, I have had more and more time to think about why I love travelling so much. In the last year, I have tackled Austin, Atlanta, Miami, New Orleans and Austin again this weekend. I attended SXSW for the second consecutive year, and plan on making the annual trip to SXSW going forward.
My reasons are simple. The minute you land in a new city with a Yankee fitted on, you are embraced immediately; I do not care where you go. The people want to know all about you, they love our style and our accent apparently; who knew? SXSW was no different than last year in this respect. In a radius of roughly six blocks, the streets were lined with live entertainment and revelers of all sorts, each with a game plan in mind. Flyers, CD’s and other promotional goodies are swapped, ideas are discussed and connections are made.
My game plan this year, was to formally promote www.senecavillage.net, a virtual marketplace for minority and black owned businesses to progress and prosper; a site co-founded with Mr. Nice Tie, aka Petty Post. The site boasts talent of all sorts on a national and international level and is set up demographically. It is complimentary for up and coming businesses and talent and funded by sponsors. I dusted Texas with about two-thousand flyers; the concept was received well. Petty Post and I look forward to working with new talent and moguls in the making; their stories will be told on www.senecavillage.net and we encourage you to check it out.
Another reason I love to travel, is the insight it offers you on your peers in the game. Who takes themselves seriously and who is just talking. This is important to me as it allows me to dismiss people before I invest too much time, energy, effort and money into situations that will ultimately go nowhere. It exposes one’s level of awareness on expanding brands and the value of promotion and marketing on a grander scale. I hate to admit it, but I find New York flooded with talent in an already saturated market; it makes it complicated to stick out. Conversely, out-of-towners are all dying to come to New York with the hopes of making it big. In my opinion, this is why “The New Yorker” is such a coveted visitor in other states. We offer invaluable insight as to what to expect and not expect from New York and the politics that come with the territory.
New York was well represented. Some notables from this weekend were Math of the Vandal Hour, featured on DTF Radio Saturday nights at 11pm. He had a staffed table at Peckerhead’s, complete with step and repeat, cameras and marketing goods. He was in prime position to capture key footage of TI’s performance. Jack Thriller, a SXSW staple, held his annual showcase; the house was packed. What I enjoy most about Jack’s showcases is the variety of talent; demographically and creatively speaking. He is able to attract this caliber of talent because of his fan base; an investment worth every penny for the right artist.
Torae and K.Fhox have been everywhere lately, so I wasn’t surprised to run into Torae personally; I didn’t catch up with K.Fhox but her marketing was all over the place. Choppa Zoe, of Money & Violence, was there promoting his music; his street team was in full effect. D-Teck of Konvict Music and Success of Atlantic Records were there to judge the Coast 2 Coast Showcases back to back on Friday and Saturday night; there was a great turn out of talent there as well.
I ran into Kwan Lee of Kwan Lee TV; it has been a minute since our last encounter and I can see why. He literally had his hands full; one with a camera, the other with business cards. I follow his social media and see him working on quite a bit; consistently. I highly recommend him for your photography and videography needs. He takes himself and the people he works with very seriously; it is clear in his work ethic. In his company, we ran into Cortez, another New York native on a mission.
Yannie, a personal favorite of mine for some time now, was in the mix like no other. She is an absolute powerhouse. I first met her through my work with Money & Violence; she is their publicist and a woman who wears many hats. Yannie is always surrounded by talent who are invested in their careers. This weekend she was with Phresher Dygz, a break-out artist from New York I’m also partial to. He tore the stage down with his hit “Wait A Minute”. I would be remiss if I did not mention Malcom X. He is also an artist, but filled the roll of hype-man in such a way, Spliff Star and Flavor Flav would tip their hats to.
Chase Baker, D. Chamberz, Bad Girl Cris, the Popular Stranger, Berri Life and Twan Da Dude were also in Austin, however, I did not cover their shows personally. I am privileged to live locally to these artists and am well aware of what they have to offer. What I really went to SXSW for was to scout talent from out of town; I had my pick of genre and venues to say the least. The first act I caught, The Wistful Larks, was a Rock’N Roll Group from Chicago. I had just landed and had to hit up a familiar spot, The Nook, for my first Blue Moon; they were mid performance and their energy kept me in the building. SXSW was one leg of their tour on the West Coast; I look forward to more from them in the future.
I happen to love John Legend’s “All of Me”, so when Paul and Julian were doing their rendition of it on the street, I just had to stop. This is part of the beauty of SXSW, literally every corner has its own vibe, complete with its own audience. You never know who you will encounter or impress, so everyone is on their A game. Press and media are key in this industry. I bumper into longtime acquaintance Gray Rizzy, of Shade 45 and Sirius XM, on Sixth; he was a panelist this year. Essince and Brooks, contributors for Hip Hip Weekly, were there to push their newest medium, Royal Heir Magazine. While there promoting www.senecavillage.net, I made it a point to pick up every CD, flyer and business card I could find. I am currently listening to new music from across the United States; reviews will follow on an independent level.
If you are an upcoming artist, looking to break out, this is the perfect opportunity for you. Planning and preparation, as with life, are key here. You should have your hotel booked by the end of the summer and your airfare handled by December 2017 for the best prices and hotel locations. The badges are expensive. I had one last year and opted to go without it this year; in my opinion I saved about $700.00. The key things to bring are business cards, the goods you are marketing, a street team and an amazing attitude. With that said, I look forward to seeing you next year.

Current Mood: Hungry as sh*t. Just pulled into Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles and hyper-aggressive because #POWER is coming back to TV on 7/14. #KANANRETURNS. Streets are hungry to see his impact this year.
Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles is super busy on this late Saturday night. But it's to be expected the iconic restaurant is a hot spot for everyone from celebrities to your hardest drug dealer. I finally get seated towards the back, and it's perfect to start my article "America's Favorite Psycho: KANAN". I slide on my SMS Audio wireless headphones, open TIDAL and select the track "9 shots." Curtis "50" cent Jackson is a fantastic hood storyteller and revealed the birth of his character KANAN in the song "9 shots." The first verse gives me visions of riding shotgun with KANAN through Queens looking for GHOST.
I was innocent then, I ain’t do no wrong
She said, “you mommy little man, ” I said, “yep, uh huh”
She was everything to me, when she came, I just lit up
Sunday morning I was so sharp, all did up
It was welfare hustlin', they killed her for that
The first shot, bullet wound in my back
I’m fucked up, look at my sneakers, I’m fucked up
Now I’m on my own, mommy gone
Sam said, “you a young boy, why your clothes look so old?
You don’t need fish, little nigga, you need a pole
You don’t need no new kicks, you need an O”
Chop that, bag it, get right back at it
That touched me, it hit me in my heart
I’m a hustler, homie, you was giving me my start
I am what I am, Sabrina’s only baby
Practicing in the mirror, pulling out my .380
Oh man, I fucked up nana gonna kill me
Whenever shit can go wrong it always will
See, seven grams of cocaine, three grams of dope
Saint Mary medallion hanging from my rope
Try to punk me and my gun smoke
Look, I’m outta control, my gun go
Off like it’s legal, call the cops, you need to
Give ‘em my description, I ain’t bullshittin'
My high school sweetheart love didn’t last long
Niggas start flashing that bread and she was gone
That hurt me like the bullet in my calf then
My next girl was a pain in the ass
I got two shots left, in case niggas try to get me
That’s nine shots, we just call it fifty
I put this track on repeat, and my mind starts to paint visual pictures of KANAN for this article for Scrilla Guerilla Magazine. Before KANAN could ever develop real feelings and connect emotionally with the people around him they were gone. The mother is the first teacher of the child and the streets killed her before their relationship blossomed. KANAN was only eight years old, and his innocence was forever gone. KANAN never allowed himself to feel vulnerable again towards people. Few people can understand the magnitude of death, sorrow, and survival of the fittest at the tender age of eight years old. The street life adopted KANAN and designed the perfect sketch of an American psycho. "9 shots" is blaring through my headphones so loud, my lovely waitress tapped my shoulder and said are you ready to order? I apologized for the delayed response and ordered the "Obama Special." She said my order would be ready in about 10 minutes, and she inquired about what I was writing. I told her a full feature on KANAN, who stars in the hit show POWER. She lit up and said I would love to be his ride or die, girlfriend, he's the epitome of gangsta. I laughed and said that's my guy KANAN, and I told her I'd tell him you said hello. We both laughed, and I started back writing my KANAN article.
The Obama Special is my favorite item, and nothing compares to Roscoe's Chicken & Waffles! As I wait for my Uber driver to arrive, I switch my music selection to "Strong Enough" off the "Before I Self Destruct" album. Gladys Knight voice is so angelic and soulful at the beginning of the track, and 50 adds his signature fearless god-flow, and the track explodes thru my headphones. The lyrics reflect the gritty mentality of KANAN. I can visualize 50 cent in a black hoodie; blue Yankee fitted, black jeans, and G-Unit starring at his reflection with these lyrics racing through his mind.
I do more than talk that I mu'fuckin walk that
Blue Yankee cap back, fuck around get CLAPPED AT
I sleep with the stainless I walk with the stainless
Man everybody know about 50 I'm famous
New York New York!!!! I run New York!!!!
Ask Dread at the weed spot I come through in the mean drop
In different boroughs I have different moments
On different days niggas know how I'm on it
I'm pretty like a Harlem nigga, I'm a shooter like a Brooklyn nigga
I'm a hustler don't get no bigger
Queens, Southside 'til they bury me
BX two tek's, flames out the nozzles
R1 One wheel, Christian Dior goggles
Spare with me start some shit send the shooters out
Come out the club we out front with the Rugers out
Nah ain't no sense to talkin peace my brotha
That beef will probably send your monkey ass to see Allah
The Uber driver arrives, and I instruct her to drive me to the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood. My driver is a very attractive black woman and we immediately engage in dialog. I told her to take the long route because I was currently entering into my writer's zone. I advanced her $50.00 for the extra time, and she smiled and said write a novel in my backseat. LOL. As we cruise through Los Angeles, I'm reflecting on the lyrics of "Strong Enough" and I realize KANAN is alive more than ever inside Curtis "50 cent" Jackson. KANAN's life, filled with obsessive pain, financial pursuit, calculated violence, and a kamikaze ending. KANAN's narcissistic personality fuels his passion for destruction and chaos towards anyone blocking his pathway to hedonism. Everything existing around KANAN is temporary from his street relationships and remaining family members. KANAN temperament is erratic, uncalculated, and supremely violent at all times.
The streets understand the mindset of KANAN and that's where he finds comfort and emotional balance. All humans need some form of balance and acceptance in their life. KANAN understands his journey requires a kill or be killed mentality at all times. KANAN never any personal attachments in his life after his mother passed. Producing a child in this world was the last thing he wanted. Having a child creates an emotional and personal vulnerability for the parent. KANAN knows the streets don't protect anyone; you must protect yourself from the streets. The incredible dynamic of the show POWER is Courtney Kemp Agboh (Co-Executive Producer) leverages the worst characteristics of a human and enables KANAN to execute them flawlessly. Imagine holding a gun to the face of your son and shooting him without hesitation and watching him bleed out to death. Welcome to the world of KANAN.
The show POWER enables KANAN to showcase to viewers real truth behind the mentality of the broken family cycle. KANAN rarely looks at his reflection because it reminds him of everything he's lost and will never find again. Surviving as a soulless human is a desperate, weak, and vulnerable existence. KANAN is the ultimate nemesis for GHOST on #POWER. KANAN operates like a piranha on the streets and GHOST knows he won't stop until he's dead or devoured it's target: GHOST. KANAN is the only character on television that has no filter, script, conscience, moral responsibility, and the Starz network has the winning formula. Viewers never know when and where KANAN will strike, which creates hysteria, paranoia, and fear. KANAN's lifestyle commands 24/7 attention to detail, and he has to remain mistake-free.
Curtis "50" Jackson is KANAN in every way which makes him perfect for this role. Curtis "50 cent" Jackson has created a phenomenon in #POWER because he's televising an ugly side of the street life in the most beautiful way possible. You can't imagine a drug-dealer taking time out to watch #Empire, but you can see your local drug deal-dealer watching #POWER. That's the unique advantage of the #POWER TV dynamic; it aligns three different worlds. The general American society, underworld, and corporate professionals crave #POWER, because it answers a curiosity in them all.
Curtis "50 cent" Jackson is a crazy motherfucker in general, which makes him a genius for creating a TV program which reflects the violent, dysfunctional, and strategic lifestyle he's maintained for over 30 years. Curtis "50 cent" Jackson is a controlled version of the Bishop character played by the late great Tupac Shakur. KANAN shadows Curtis Jackson everywhere he's going in life, and that will never change. However, Curtis Jackson understands when and where to unleash his alter ego "KANAN." I always go back to the lyrics in the song "9 Shots" when he says, "I am what I am, Sabrina’s only baby,Practicing in the mirror, pulling out my .380". That's a very chilling verse and cold reality of the other side of Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson.
The Uber driver alerts me that we've have reached the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood. I can't believe we've been driving around for over an hour! I asked for her name, and she said "Regina" and I said I'm Jonathan P-Wright. Regina told me "you mumble while you work, so I know your thoughts are deeply rooted within passion." I politely said thank you so much and exited the vehicle. As I walked away, she asked me one last question, "what are you going to name your article"? I turned around and said "KANAN: America's Favorite Psycho." She smiled and said I'm looking forward to reading your masterpiece, and I told her thanks for riding with me on the journey.

Current Mood: Ultra-high energy and slightly aggressive. I feel like this week is going to change my life forever!
Below is a transcript of the Power Season 2 Episode 10 "Ghost is Dead” when he sees Holly for the first time since she spoke with the Feds.
Tommy: "I'll give you a head start, cause when I catch you it's not going to be good.
Holly: Ghost sent me away. I didn't want to leave you. He made me go.
Tommy: You better get your lying, gold digging, snitching ass off from here, or I will choke you out in front of God and everybody.
The above exchange was between Tommy and his current/former girlfriend Holly. That "one" scene highlighted the cold-blooded mentality of "Tommy." It doesn't matter who it is in his world no one is safe if he feels otherwise. That's why he's America's favorite assassin. Tommy represents the entire culture of #GETRICHORDIETRYIN from every streets guy's perspective. Being fearless in the face of death, having zero f*cks for the assumed authority in charge, living fast and understanding the full level of sacrifice for the drug game without a second thought. When the sun rises, Tommy is already planning his third move of execution and testing his mental psyche for today's warfare. Tommy's life birthed from hell, drug use, parental failures, lack of education, and constant in human change under ferocious pressure. Tommy character is color-blind, and his chief focus is building his empire and annihilating everyone or object within his course of dominance. Tommy invented the term Y.O.L.O. (You Only Live Once) and to understands the full meaning and ultimate consequence in the end.
On the scripted TV series #POWER Tommy is the most feared force on the streets and manages all five boroughs in NYC. All high-level criminals have "masterminds" and create unconventional multi-million dollar organizations which push the boundaries of possibilities. Tommy's brain is wired 100% to the streets which enables him to have no human conscience and one direction in every moment of his life. As I watch hours of viral footage on Tommy during my #POWER TV marathon, I try to ascertain what are Tommy's weaknesses or vulnerabilities. The only weakness of Tommy in my mind is his disconnect with human society.
He has no regard for anyone because his life was fueled by hatred, pain, and life scars that will never heal. In a flash, Tommy will laugh and break bread with his crew at the height of their success and in a milli-second blow the brains out of his most "assumed" trusted soldier. The brilliance of all mastermind criminals is their unparalleled insanity. Their world is controlled chaos at the highest level of operation and planned execution. Tommy's role on #POWER TV is the most vicious and violent fueled character alive.
No other character on TV balances wild emotion, gritty violence, organized crime, and the symbolism of a sex figure like Tommy. They say the eyes are the window to the soul, and Tommy's eyes reveal the struggle, compromise, denial, triumph, and fear at the core of America's society. Tommy is the backbone of the criminal underworld and people like him will always exist. America will never admit it publicly, but our entire justice and basic civilization are centered around the movements of individuals just like Tommy. Hollywood and TV doesn't have a character like him, nor can they create one. The reason why is because Joseph Sikora, Courtney Kemp Agboh, and Curtis Jackson were aligned by the universe for the Starz Network. Joseph Sikora is America's favorite assassin. #TEAMTOMMY

Current Mood: Actually extremely happy, corporate/gansta mood, Get Rich or Die Trying type vibe, and hyper-focused on my new weight loss lifestyle.
It's my last night at the "W" Hotel on South beach and it's bittersweet at the highest level! I love the Miami weather, food, tropical weather and most of all the beaches! I think this is where God created the original Garden of Eden. LOL!
Until God calls for me I'mma keep ballin', keep on ballin'
To my niggas and my bitches looking down on me
I know y'all see me when I'm ballin'
You know I got to keep ballin'
Till the FEDs come we ballin' out
Y'all niggas y'all know what this about when I'm ballin'
That stash house, we in and out
We ballin', ballin', ballin', we shot callin'
These are the opening lyrics to the song "BALLIN" by G-Unit and this verse represents some of the mental fabric of the hit original TV series "POWER". I'm sitting on the couch staring a still images of Omari Hardwick a.k.a. GHOST and his "eyes" illuminate my suite and his voice reverberates throughout the suite echoing power, sex, control, calculated betrayal, and triumph. Omari Hardwick is following God's Plan for his life and that's why his character is so polarizing, mesmerizing, addictive, and inspirational for the general public. I'm watching episode "1" of season "1", 50 Cent and Courtney Kemp Agboh created a multi-layered viewing experience which engages everyone from the modest to the hardcore gangsters of our society. Every move GHOST makes is ultra-calculated and intended to further cement his position of power. Its opening night at his nightclub "TRUTH", it's packed full of people and his right-hand man Tommy approaches him provide street justice on someone. The beauty of this moment are these vital points and creates the matchless aura of GHOST and his ability to blend, recreate, and dominate each scene.
1. He accesses the damage, current problem, and ascertains the end result
2. He kills the guy who stole from there organization, cleans himself up, jumps back into the elevator, embraces the packed house of party goers, and returns to James St. Patrick.
The genius of GHOST character is the general audience has no idea what he's thinking, feeling, or most of all his next move. GHOST succeeds where most "bad guys" fail in the area of "limitations". GHOST understands where his power begins and ends in every situation and creates mistake proof exit strategies to ensure complete exoneration. The emotional intelligence of GHOST provides a chilling and deep introspective into the mind of a "divided soul". The character of GHOST provides the STARZ network with a lethal competitive advantage over any other show in its lane. GHOST's natural skillset is immeasurable and allows him to become all things to everyone within his radius. GHOST manages the perfect balance between commitment and infidelity with Tasha (His Wife) and Angela (His love from High School & Lead attorney on the Drug Task Force pursuing his organization). Naturally the heart of a person is divided into many pieces and they eventually identify the pieces that belong. GHOST is always moving pieces around in his heart to make the right decision in the moment.
I'm taking my second shot of Black Cherry Effen Vodka and I'm blaring "I'm The Man" Remix by 50 cent & Chris Brown in my suite. I turn to Season 2 and watch the episode "Three Moves Ahead" and my eyes are paralyzed on the scene where Tommy and Lobos enter the Carlton Hotel to conduct business and the world knows that GHOST is in the hotel. As the moment collapses Tommy, Lobos, and his partner are captured. GHOST is not captured and he re-appears in the adjoining hotel overlooking the chaos and watching Angela call him repeatedly (he switched his number). Again, the writers of POWER position GHOST perfectly between anxiety and the unknown. GHOST symmetrically aligns all the personalities, weaknesses, strengths, and temptations of each person in his life. The mentality of GHOST represents the "lion-heart" of every man in America. Possessing the mental propensity to protect, kill, and administer love towards people are psychotic, unflinching, and fearless characteristics most men desire to develop. The essence & character of GHOST depicts and reflects the culture of mankind in certain aspects. Even when I examine his fashion sense it literally freezes my mind, because he's flawless in every moment, clean shaven, and casket sharp. My father told me that the "walk" and "dress" of a man speaks volume about his confidence, self-purpose, and respect amongst the people in the room. Omari Hardwick is playing the role of a lifetime, creating new boundaries, destroying over-evaluated stereotypes, and showing men of all ethnicities the blueprint in balancing mind over "POWER".
The role of GHOST is shaking up Hollywood and respect is something you can only run from for a certain period of time. POWER is the one of best original television programs and the people are echoing this message louder each year. Sometimes in life your arrival of greatness is disruptive, unapologetic, and incomprehensible. Hollywood has a good problem with the show POWER and they need to pick the brain of Courtney Kemp Agboh and create another original TV series which challenges the minds of consumers. Until that happens "THE SHADOW OF GHOST" will hover over Hollywood and you can never outrun a shadow.
I'm Jonathan P-Wright one of the lead writers for Scrilla Guerilla Magazine, RNH Magazine, and TALKTOCHELYNN. I personally write about subject matters that penetrate my heart and talk to my soul. Mr. Hardwick you are an inspiration.

Current Mood: Intense, thoughtful, frustrated with my current Aflac plan changes, and getting quite lit on this Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey
I've wanted to cover K. Michelle for about four years now, and I always felt the right inspiration would come via her best music. The moment I took notice of her image, body, mind, and spirit on VH1, her journey intrigued me and set my mind ablaze. I'm staring at multiple pictures of K. Michelle, and they read like puzzle pieces. The pieces of the K. Michelle puzzle encompass pain, lust, nightmares, violence, bold uncontrollable sex, triumph, musical greatness, and Jack Daniel’s. It's a beautiful collection of events and no other black woman in the past five years has self-destructed, transformed, flourished, inspired, and dominated life better than K. Michelle. Period! The first track I decide to blare through my headphones is “These Men.” The drama of the initial ten seconds of the song is pure adrenaline and pain simultaneously. Her voice sonically invades my ears, and I can hear clearly how sorry “some” men can be:
Oh, these men
They don't know nothing about love
One woman ain't never enough
What am I to do?
Oh, these men
They sho' be getting around
Wifing all of these hoes around town
But I can't play fool
They don't know nothin', 'bout nothin', 'bout love
That's the shear brilliance of K. Michelle. She defines the pain, pleasure, lust, and constant pursuit of this thing called love in just a few lines. K. Michelle is the only woman in the world who can curse out, drag on social media, and make dog jewelry out of her ex-lover's clothes and the guy will still come back to her if she calls him. Insane! The point of view given by K. Michelle represents millions of women worldwide and is the driving force behind her success. She is the only woman who can decode the ratchetness, deceitfulness, hidden pain, and egoism of men via her sonic motion soundtracks. As the track ends, I reflect on these lyrics:
Pain, it's life
Oh, every time I try to find somebody to love me
I end up hurting
I tried Lance
I tried Bobby
I tried Memph (oh, his ass was sorry)
Then I tried Idris (ha-ha, and he still can get it even though he ain't shit)
I, I, I, I
See you'll always be here be with the shit
And I ain't having it
Why can't they act right?
Before they come in (oh) and ruining my life
Undeniably one of the greatest instances of chin-checking a dude. She has totally reversed the perception of power in the face of rejection and relationship failure.
I move on to the sexually stimulating production of “Ain't You” by Yung Berg, aka Hitmaka. The beginning tones and vibe of the record make me feel like I'm at LIV on a zoo-like Sunday night. All I can visualize is bottle girls walking through LIV with sparklers, me going nuts as they head to K. Michelle's VIP section and not mine! K. Michelle talks that ish on this track and I envision her clique on one side of the VIP and the guys on the other side mesmerized by her turn-up:

I know you're gone on that liquor, ain't you?
I know you're gone on that liquor, ain't you?
Getting throwed with me baby, ain't you?
Only one I be giving game to
These dudes mad cause they really ain't you
I know you're gone on that liquor, ain't you?
Baby I ain't tryna change you
Got you gone and I feel the same too
These dudes mad cause they really ain't you
Oh, I got my own shit, don't want your money
Nope, I drop a hundred bands like it's easy money
These niggas is trying to shoot but you got the lay up
Ain't none of them telling the truth, nope
They fucking your day up
The prophecy of K. Michelle is real, people! The reason men connect with K. Michelle is her ability to make us feel like crap for being animals and then giving us the recipe for being a better person. That's the secret sauce of the K. Michelle jambalaya. Drinking straight from a $5,000 bottle of whatever she wants and controlling the scene at the same damn time. K. Michelle understands the intricate balance between beast mode, sexual dominance, and calculated submissiveness.
I'm going on my fourth shot of Tennessee Honey, and I swear K. Michelle and I are walking on the balcony of my suite discussing which island we should buy. Tennessee Honey is a helluva of a drug! The track “Nightstand” comes on and the blended background vocals are simply angelic, providing the ultimate bridge for K. Michelle to walk across.
I got it gridlocked, 2 Pac
3 shots, let it sink in
Hot ride outside
Four door, chauffeur driven
Here
I've got more to lose than you
Uuh uuh
Three o'clock in the morning
Y'all be on that other shit, but I ain't on it
Tryna give me your advice, but I don't want it
I've got things to do
Phone ring, I call em later
Just dissed this nigga for my vibrator
Hope you ain't in trouble
Cause I can't save you
No, no no no no oh
Put it on my nightstand, baby
Can you keep it right there baby?
Got it on my nightstand, baby
Excuse me, these won't just save me
Baby, please excuse my behavior
But can I get back the fucks that I gave you?
Tryna mellow out, I need to blaze up
Can't wait to get back to my nightstand
Got a nigga right here, on my left
I've done rolled him to death
I guess I have to please myself
There is not a woman alive who hasn't or won’t connect with the lyrics above in their lifetime on multiple occasions. The panoramic view of K. Michelle's vision allows the world to understand unequivocally she not with the BS. Most humans in defeat lose power within themselves and withdraw from society and their immediate circle. K. Michelle removes the knife of pain from herself, wipes it off, and then hunts down her attacker with it. K. Michelle is one of the most feared lionesses in the jungle. The lyrics of her life are protecting women everywhere and shine light during their darkest moments. Just imagine millions of women of all colors blaring “Nightstand” in their house and watching their lips mime the lyrics simultaneously. That's the phenomenon of K. Michelle, and that's why she's on the flight to legendary status.
I'm clearly hungry, so it's in my best interest to eat one of these cold chicken tacos. Cool, so I down two tacos, and now it's back to the music. The drumroll sound effect for the track “TIME” is the utter epitome of class and creates a Boomerang-type movie vision in my mind. The scene where Halle Berry tells Eddie Murphy that “love shoulda brought you home last night”!
In a perfect world
You would never let me down
There'd would be nothing to figure out
In a perfect world
We could just erase the day
Never say the things we said
Two things you can't get back, our words and Time
Alright
Tell me how to find somebody
Who gon’ be on time, on time
It's too late for you and I
Thank God I left you right on time, on time
Time, time
Kissing you goodbye
And I did it right on time
On time
Again K. Michelle paints the perfect picture of a real relationship, and it reads amazingly. However, in true K. Michelle fashion, she explains the common reality for most women in the second verse and empowers them to withstand the fall. K. Michelle is the "Robitussin" solution we all need, man or woman. Respect is due to a person of K. Michelle's character, life, struggle, and most of all truthfulness. K. Michelle has not compromised, reduced, or hidden anything from the public. Her life is filled with scars from other people, herself, and her music. The difference in 2016 is K. Michelle has both hands on the wheel and is driving a noise/hater proof Bugatti at 200 miles per hour. In other words, she's in her own lane! Deal with it insecure people! I think it's the Jack Daniel's talking now because I'm back listening to “Nightstand” again, but it sounds different. I think K. Michelle wrote this after she broke up with Bobby. She drove straight to the studio at 100 miles per hour with visions of Bobby leaving her life in the rear view mirror. K. Michelle was born for these moments, and that's why she is the only person qualified to make these types of songs.
I'm officially cutting myself off from drinking any more today, and my therapist is meeting me for dinner to discuss my life. Hah! What a life I live. K. Michelle, your voice, life, and vision are gifts from heaven. From the staff of TALKTOCHELYNN, Popular Magazine, RAIRADIO, Scrilla Guerillaz Magazine, and NEWHYPEBEAST Media Group, we’re honored to have you as the VOICE OF OUR LIFETIME.
Thursday, March 10, 2016, Michael Keith ( one part of the R&B Group 112) launched his new MK12 E Cigar at the ILounge in Southeast, Atlanta Georgia.
Guests in attendance included the group members of 112, R&B singer Donnell Jones, Music Artist Tyra B, Boss Chix Atlanta, The Celebrity Grill Boss, STFU Comedy show, Actress Patrice Fisher, Celebrity Manager to 112, Bobby Valentino, and J. Holiday, Ms. Melinda Santiago, and more!.
Along with the introduction of the MK12 E Cigar, Michael Keith was filming for an upcoming reality show, so be on the lookout for that! Although I didn't get a chance to try the cigar I liked the smooth smell, and relaxed design of it. It was cute enough for a woman and cool enough for a man. To purchase the MK12 E Cigar visit www.mk12ecigars.com.

Friday, March 24, 2016, at The Haven Event Venue, in midtown Atlanta, LHHATL Star Stevie J and new business partner Ms. Jackson @officialmjceo held their collaboration party for their fashionable period panties, also known as Pretty Panty. The Pretty Panty is a DISPOSABLE fashionable panty that has a pad sewn in it for THAT time of the month. The box that I received was leopard print and a size XL, so I'm guessing they come in different sizes. However, the size XL was too small for me ( I stretched them out to see) and is the biggest size they make right now. Therefore, I will be wearing my own pretty panties during my menses. Sucks for me!
Hosted by the lovely Pre Madonna of the Waist Gang Society, guests in attendance were cast mates Jessica Dimes ( another Memphis Tn native), Rasheedah and Kirk Frost; a few new and upcoming LHHATL cast members.
I happened to be seated near reality star, Shay Johnson, Lord Daze, the owner of Scrilla Guerillaz magazine, and Great Nation Entertainment. Let's just say I laughed all night long
As far as the filming part, I can't really say much about that, you'll just have to watch the show.
The Pretty Panty undergarment can be purchased in select Walmart stores. But if you're a meaty woman such as myself, don't even worry about it, they don't have sizes to fit us yet! You'll just have to keep using the standard pads and tampons!
