The First Creators Retreat in Colombia: A Perfect Prelude to the Mezcla Music Experience
This summer marked an unforgettable milestone for creatives and music lovers alike, as the first-ever Creators Retreat in Colombia took place in the stunning city of Cartagena. Organized in association with the Mezcla Music Experience, this retreat was a dynamic gathering of artists, entrepreneurs, and industry experts — all coming together to connect, create, and perform.
This event was especially significant as it was the first under the new Scrilla Guerillaz branch, Scrilla Guerillaz Colombia, marking an exciting expansion of the brand into the vibrant Colombian creative scene.
The retreat was much more than just a getaway; it was a launchpad for culture and creativity. Every artist who attended brought their unique talents to the stage at the Mezcla Music Experience, lighting up the crowd with soulful performances. Highlights included Lord Daze, Billy Covington (from Hi-Five), Reefy Scott (from Changing Faces), Cloud, NFD Haze, Colombian artist Kike Salis, and the captivating Kedmon. The vibe was perfectly curated by DJ Qua, who kept the music flowing throughout the show.
While the performances stole the spotlight, the retreat itself offered a rich blend of networking, education, and pure enjoyment. Guests savored delicious meals prepared by none other than R&B diva and artist Reefy Scott — yes, attendees can now brag about having an R&B diva cook for them! The culinary experience alone was a testament to the retreat’s unique blend of artistry and community.

Education and inspiration were on the menu as well. Entertainment manager Chris Gremler dropped invaluable knowledge about navigating the music industry, while finance specialist Bill Hampton gave essential talks on business and financial literacy — empowering creatives to succeed not only on stage but in life. Adding a spark of humor and style was the ever-charismatic Curvy Chrisy, while Leroy Whitehurst expertly secured the premises, ensuring a smooth and safe environment. Public Influence Battle creator Daryl also shared his knowledge and inspiration with his virtual reality company, the first of its kind.

What truly stood out about this retreat was the positive energy and harmony throughout the entire stay. There were no arguments or distractions—just pure focus on growth, creativity, and connection. It was clear that Lord Daze poured his heart and soul into organizing a seamless and inspiring experience.
And the momentum doesn’t stop here. Following this successful kickoff, Lord Daze is already planning the next big event: a Halloween Creatives Retreat in Medellín, followed by a Valentine’s Day event back in Cartagena. If the first retreat was any indication, these upcoming events promise to be even bigger and better.
For all the creatives and artists ready to take their craft to the next level, keep an eye on these retreats—where art, business, culture, and community come together like nowhere else.
